Manpower is currently recruiting for a Hub Support Assistant to work on a part time temporary assignment covering Children and Family Centres across the Shoreham/Adur service (covering Lancing, Shoreham, Southwick areas) but will be mostly based in Shoreham. This is a temporary assignment starting as soon as possible until approximately 31/08/2019 with the possibility of an extension. This post is 18.5 hours per week, preferably 2 full days and 1 half day per week, open to flexibility on days/hours.

As one of a dedicated team of Hub Service Officers in Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help, you will be accountable for providing information and support and will have responsibility for offering information and guidance and front-line service delivery for families and children in the new Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help system.

You will also provide reliable, efficient and effective flexible administrative support to the team (or across teams) which will include responding to client queries, giving standard information and guidance relating to the service, maintaining records and producing standard correspondence, providing support and day to day processing according to set procedures.

You will provide an excellent customer service by acting as the main point of contact for people seeking advice and guidance from the IP & EH service and communicate appropriately with members of the public/practitioners/colleagues in order to deal with a variety of enquiries, solving varied problems and giving advice e.g. answering queries about childcare, training, procedures etc. and advising where to obtain support for children and families.

The role will include the requirement to work flexibly across a given area from a range of locations to meet service needs and to provide cover for staff absence.

The ideal candidate will have good customer service experience (preferably with families/children), are adaptable and have the ability to work with data, whether this be inputting, understanding excel spreadsheets and problem solving.

The hub serves very many vulnerable families and the role is customer facing the majority of the time.
