Our client is looking for a IT Support Officer to join our busy helpdesk, working as part of the Hardware and Systems Team.
Position: IT Support Officer
Location: Swindon (M4 corridor)
Salary: £22,000-£25,000 pa plus flexible benefits
Duration: Full time, permanent

About the role of IT Support Officer:
The IT Support Officer has a key role in the full range of helpdesk duties and will be the first point of contact for all staff. You will provide a top-class service to colleagues working on Macs and PCs as well as maintaining the efficiency of systems.
Main duties include responding to calls, recording, resolving and, where appropriate, allocating tasks to other team members and maintaining hardware and software.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be passionate about technology and great with people. You will have experience of working within an IT helpdesk environment.
Previous experience of supporting Microsoft Windows 7/10 laptops and desktops, Microsoft Office 2013/2016 and Apple iOS devices is essential for this role.
Although not essential, some knowledge of the following would be highly desirable;
- Microsoft SharePoint 2013/365
- Microsoft Office 365
- Mac OSx
- Symantec Ghost suite/imaging solutions.
Experience of supporting network printers and photocopiers, administering IP phone systems and Microsoft Exchange mailboxes would also be useful.
