Do you have previous work experience caring for children? Would you love a rewarding role as a Children’s Residential Worker?

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible Children’s Residential Worker for our client who is able to work across a range of shifts including Waking Nights and Day shifts on temporary assignments.

If you are passionate about supporting children with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviours, enjoy providing support and companionship to individuals, have skills in setting & supporting professional boundaries, developing life skills and promoting independence at all times, then we need to talk!

You will be providing key support to a number of individuals, ensuring care and support plans are being implemented correctly, progress reports are updated and relationships between the residents, families and external professionals are effectively managed.

It is essential that you can demonstrate your ability to treat individuals with dignity and respect at all times, to be able to build constructive relationships and to manage expectations.

REQUIRED:

* Hold a valid DBS (preferably registered with the update service)

* Support Worker or Care Assistant experience with Challenging Young people/Children

* Able to work across a range of shifts including Sleep ins, Waking Nights and Day shifts including weekends

* Minimum of 6 months’ UK Care experience

Our mission statement is to “enable people to live as individually and independently as possible and support them to achieve their goals and aspirations” Children’s Care Assistant (Part time) required in Ilford Your role as a Children’s Care Assistant will be to support our young client with complex health needs in their own home during the day. You will be required to support the child and ensure that all their medical needs are attended to. As you will be in a family environment, a need to respect privacy is essential. Ideal candidates will have experience of working with children with complex conditions using equipment such as tracheostomies, ventilators and PEG. We do provide full specialist training and shadow shifts to ensure that you feel confident in your role as a Children’s Care Assistant.
