This is an amazing opportunity to join the National Probation Service (NPS) as a Case Administrator on a temporary basis. This is part time hours working 3 days a week from Monday-Friday.
This opportunity is with the National Probation Service based in Bournemouth, part of the National Offender Management Service.
This role requires you to carry out a variety of responsibilities and activities, including logging visitor and offender arrival and departure, handling queries, incoming and outgoing phone calls and mail, booking and allocating meeting rooms and hot desks and petty cash handling.
About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be a competent computer user who is able to work independently and as part of a team. They will be confident defusing difficult situations, including aggressive language and behaviour.
This role requires qualifications at GCSE A* - C grade or equivalent, including Math and English (and Welsh where appropriate) or proven track record in commensurate role. Knowledge of standard ICT applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as good keyboard and word processing skills are also required. Applicant will need good interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent), awareness of Health and Safety processes (training will be given as required)
The Pay rate is £8.36 for the first 12 weeks rising to £9.02 after this period
