TEMP - Immediate Start!
Urgent requirement for a self-motivated and team focused Accounts Assistant to join a busy team on the outskirts of Plymouth! The office culture is friendly and open, this position is an integral part of the team and finding the right person is paramount.
This role will initially start on a temp basis but has the opportunity to become permanent for the right person. Although full time hours would be preferred, we can consider part time hours for the right candidate.
Main Duties:
* Processing GBP and EUR cashbook, as well as month end reconciliation
* Running Month end reports
* Complete weekly payroll reporting
* Analysing hours for overtime and payroll purposes for submission to the Payroll clerk
* Processing job costing journals
* Processing nominal ledger journals
* Act as local contact for Head Office finance department in relation to resolving queries with other non-finance departments
* Provide local support during the annual audit process including pulling files as and when required
* Cover administrative duties as and when required
* Answering and directing telephone calls
* Support to the procurement manager as needed
Skills/Experience:
* Experience of working with M1 or Opera would be preferable but by no means essential
* Intermediate computer skills
* Confident Excel user
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* AAT qualification would be beneficial
* Experience of foreign currencies
