Job Details

The CSP is the trade union, educational and professional organisation for the UK’s 58,000 chartered physiotherapists, support workers and students; and one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.

We have an opportunity for an experienced communication professional to join our Campaigns and Regional Engagement team, to assist in raising the profile of physiotherapy in Scotland and Yorkshire and Humber.

Through the development of effective communications, you will engage and inspire CSP members to be active in promoting the value of physiotherapy in their community, whilst also building opportunities to increase the profession’s influence among local stakeholders and decision makers. In addition, the role will involve substantial input into national and regional campaigns, awareness days and events.

First class communication skills, confidence and self-motivation are essential attributes for this role, along with the ability to work effectively across team boundaries. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will also need expertise in at least one of the following: media relations, stakeholder relations management, social media, marketing, online communications, public affairs, writing for publications and event management. Other requirements include a willingness to travel and to undertake some occasional work during evenings and weekends.

At the CSP our goal is to create a culture which is characterised by innovation, respect, encouragement, passion and teamwork.  We all strive for continuous improvement and to be the best at everything we do.  We aspire to work in a way that embodies our values of learning, courage, inclusive and integrity.  Our shared values are part of our organisational DNA and reflect the expectations we have of ourselves and others.
