Transition Coordinator (SENCO, SEND, IAG) TRAF82678 Stockport campus Salary £26,436 - £27,937 FTE (Actual Salary £13,127 - £13,872) An opportunity exists for a Transition Coordinator to join our client and play a leading role in realising their vision of being a dynamic career college. This is a part time opportunity to cover 18 hours per week. This is an exciting time to join the Group following a recent merger. A major refurbishment programme is planned, and this represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to drive transformational change for students, employers and communities of Stockport and Trafford. Working at their Stockport campus you will support the Groups transition programme by partnering with local schools and other external agencies to ensure learners with EHCPs experience a high quality, personalised and seamless transition. Managing a dataset of feeder school SENCO and LA SEND Officers and ensuring procedures and practices are clear and support an effective person centred transition process for learners, you must establish strong partnership working with local schools (SENCOs in particular) and develop rapport and confidence with the young people, their families /carers; working closely with Guidance and Admissions teams and curriculum teams to advise on the support requirements. Our client is looking for someone who has a qualification relating to SEND / IAG, who has experience of working with young people in an advisory or support role in FE and has a full understanding of the special educational needs, disabilities and other barriers that young people may present with in school. Able to profile and assess needs, to devise a Transition Plan and contribute ideas for appropriate support from college, you must have an understanding of EHCPs and the role of colleges and be capable of delivering a learner focused service.
