This is a great opportunity to join a nationally recognised and committed team, supporting service users and their carers as an Occupational Therapist in Therapy Services.

Position: Occupational Therapist - Therapy Services

Location: Rutland

Salary: Salary £24,799 - £34,788 Scale 6 – PO1

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week (there are full and part time positions available for this role – part time hours are 22.2 hours per week)

The Role

The Occupational Therapist will:

 

  • Be able to build a strong rapport quickly and be comfortable working with service users in their own homes.
  • Be confident working alone, you will enjoy seeing your plans change the lives of your service users.
  • Have a particular interest in reablement, your focus will be on enabling support to be stepped down as independence increases, working closely with colleagues to ensure relevant aids and adaptations are in place.
  • Embrace the opportunities offered by a lighter caseload to provide a greater degree of personalised care and to develop your areas of expertise, which you will share across the team.

 

About You

As Senior Practitioner you will have:

 

  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally in a community, hospital or adult social care setting,
  • Experience of manual handling, single handed care and moving and handling.
  • Be able to confidently assess and mitigate risk, you will form part of a wider integrated care team so the ability to build professional relationships will be essential.
  • A Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration
