About Us
Care 4 Children is a high quality specialist residential care service provider for children who have suffered sexual trauma and abuse. Our senior team have over 60 years combined experience of working with some of the UK’s most severely traumatised children. Care 4 Children employ a multi-disciplinary team of professionals devoted to providing care to traumatised children between the ages of 0-18. Our team consists of Therapeutic Care Practitioners, Psychologists, Life Story Practitioners, Therapists and Teaching Staff.
Job Profile
You will be working as part of a dedicated team responsible for nurturing children and young people. Providing them with positive life experiences and enabling them to achieve their personal best. Your role will include supporting them in education, attending placement review meetings, cooking, cleaning, taking young people out on activities and above all safeguarding their welfare. We staff our homes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. What is important to us is the value base and nurture you can bring to this role, and we are able to offer flexibility in shift patterns – you can work full days, with one day on two day off, or two days on four days off patterns available for full time workers, or we can also offer evening only, weekend only or bank worker shift patterns.
Candidate Profile
We recognise that the children we care for require unique adults who possess the ability to provide emotional warmth, resilience and build positive, trusting and enduring relationships with them. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding and/or experience of working with children. We require someone who has good written and verbal communication skills, is willing to go the extra mile to achieve positive outcomes and who takes pride and belief in their work.
What we require from you
The minimum age requirement for this role is 21. It is essential that you hold a full driving licence and have done so for a minimum of 12 months. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
