Our client is looking for exceptional Support Workers and Relief Support workers within their Registered Care Homes in the Pontypridd, Treharris, Tonypandy, Bridgend and Newport (Crumlin) areas.

They offer specialist supported accommodation for adults with learning disabilities, complex mental health and challenging needs. Specialising in supporting individuals on the Autistic Spectrum, including those with Asperger’s syndrome. Their mission is to help residents achieve lifestyles that are both satisfying to themselves and valued by others in society.

Position: Support Worker
Location: opportunities available in Pontypridd, Treharris, Tonypandy, Bridgend and Newport (Crumlin) areas.
Hours: Full time, part time and relief hours available (full time - 40 hours)

Salary: Starting Salary £17,076.80 pro rata per annum (£8.21 per hour) depending on experience +sleep-in payments of £66

About the Role of Support Worker:

The role of Support Worker is incredibly rewarding; you will provide direct support to residents in line with their individual care plans. You will offer practical assistance and emotional support to Service Users, enabling them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

About You:

As a Support Worker you will have some work, personal or voluntary experience of supporting vulnerable people. You will be able to demonstrate the right attitude and commitment to their ethos and show empathy and sensitivity to the needs of others.

You will have excellent communication skills, able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to learn and be willing to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and other essential training that is required for the role.

Whilst not essential, a QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care, or equivalent wold be desirable, as would specialist training in the field of learning disabilities, Autism or Asperger’s.
