Free to be Me’ Young Carer’s Group Leader
LOCATION: Community based in venues in Huntingdonshire or Peterborough (Currently Huntingdon, St Ives and Peterborough) - Temporary (until 31st March 2020)
SALARY & BENEFITS: £9.89 per hour
WORKING HOURS: Part-Time
Hours stated below include 2 hours per group for preparation/evaluation
Huntingdon (Monthly on a Sunday morning) = 6 hours per month
Peterborough (Monthly on a Saturday morning) = 6 hours per month
Peterborough (Monthly on a Friday evening) 2.5 hours per group
St Ives (Fortnightly on a Wednesday after school) – 7 hours per month
On occasion you will be required to work additional hours for planning meetings, one 2 one’s, training and where available, support day trips.
About the Role:
Our “Free to be Me” Young Carers Groups provide young carers and siblings with a break from their home situations, where they have the chance to spend some quality time together, taking part in planned and structured fun activities and learn new skills. It also allows them an opportunity to talk other young people in a similar situation as well as adults at the group.
