Hopwood Hall College has an exciting opportunity available for Hospitality and Food Services Technician. Joining the team on a part time, basis (28 hours per week), you will receive a salary of £16,916.82 - £17,575.87 per annum.

Hopwood Hall College is a further education vocational college based on two campuses in Rochdale and Middleton, situated north-east of Manchester. The Hospitality and Food Services Technician Role:

You will provide co-ordination and guidance within the educational commercial restaurant, training kitchens and catering outlets, whist undertaking supervisory duties ensuring an excellent service is provided to all customers.

Key responsibilities of our Hospitality and Food Services Technician will include:

- Provide excellent customer service in all aspects of the departments commercial and educational areas

- Provide support to the students and tutor in the Riverside restaurant during service

- Take a hands on approach as required to ensure excellent customer service is delivered to all stakeholders

- Follow correct procedure in compliance with company policy whilst cash handling.

- Ensure all working practices are compliant with legislation

- Carryout Food storage, Stock rotating and Stock taking to comply with legislation..

- Maintain compliance in training and development to ensure you are current with all regulations

- Construct and deconstruct food trolleys and equipment required for educational classes

- Support tutors and assist with supervising and coaching students undertaking work experience within the catering outlets

- Ensure accurate portion control, quality & counter service is standardised and delivered at all times

- Undertake where necessary regular cleaning of all equipment and work areas within the catering outlets

- Facilitate the hospitality requirements and events and engage with extra college activities as required

- Ensure all equipment and products are used effectively and efficiently to minimise waste

- Ensure continuous development and improvement of skills and professional knowledge

- Build and maintain effective team working relationships

- Promote greener working practices to support college recycling policies

Essential experience and skills required of our Hospitality and Food Services Technician:

- Level 2 professional food and beverage service

- Level 2 Food Hygiene

- Level 2 Allergen

- Implementing best practice

- Supporting high quality learning experiences to students

- Include the specialist knowledge required for the relevant curriculum area

- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Applications and willing to undertake training relevant to role
