Recruitment Hunters are recruiting for a Part-Time Administrator / Activities Organiser (15Hours A Week – FTC 6 Months) for a highly respected educational client based in Cambridge. This client is looking for a Student Services & Social Programme Officer on a Part-Time Fixed Term contract term working 15 hours a week. An all-round Administration & Customer Service professional from the Educational sector would be ideal..

The role of Student Services & Social Programme Officer incorporates the following:

* Under the guidance of the Student Services Manager, plan , organize and lead on a high quality programme of activities and excursions, including for groups

* Responding to our clients’ needs, and meeting their demands wherever possible

* Safety and welfare of the students at all times

* Supporting the centre with administration tasks to help with the delivery of a high quality student experience

Main Responsibilities: - Part-Time Administrator / Activities Organiser

* To have read and understood the staff handbook and be fully conversant with the firms policies for the welfare and protection of children. At all times whilst on duty, staff are responsible for the care, welfare and safety of students whilst ensuring they are following school rules. Extra duty of care is required for students under the age of 18

* Plan and deliver a high quality, year round activities and excursions programme; including leading the activities. Consult with students to improve the programme wherever possible, within guidelines set by the School Principal.

* Organize the activity programme thoroughly:

* Planning the activities

* Preparing and implementing risk assessments for all activities and excursions, and ensuring that all staff are fully aware of their responsibilities.

* Preparing information to help any other staff involved get the maximum from all activities and excursions

* Providing necessary instructions/directions before session start time

* Making sure all staff have all equipment, if appropriate, and they know how to set up before students arrive

* Ensure that all students are accompanied during activities organised by the school, and all students and staff have adequate information.

* Ensure a high level of student in activities through motivation, promotion, organisation and supervision

* Track participation and the social programme budget; provide feedback on the programme

* Assist group leaders with all aspects of their stay

* Undertake local travel and research

OTHER STUDENT SERVICES DUTIES

· Assist with centre administration and other general tasks as directed

· Ensure the school social media accounts are up-to-date and used to promote the school

· Participate in the emergency phone rota

· Additional duties as required

The job requires that you have:

* Administration, Customer Service & Organisational Experience (MUST)

* Activities Experience (DESIRABLE)

* Experience of working with young adults (HIGHLY DESIRABLE) – Relevant checks to be carried out prior to start..

* Ability to meet targets and a desire to exceed expectations

* Passion and drive, ideally with experience in the field of education

* Ability to motivate others and to provide excellent customer experiences

* Experience working with both internal teams and third party providers

* Approachable and friendly manner

* Flexibility and positive attitude

* Good computer skills

The Part-Time Administrator / Activities Organiser role, is a Full-Time 6 Months FTC Initially with options. 15 Hours a Week with options for more hours over the summer months and based in Central Cambridge.
