As we enter one of the most exciting times in our history we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Lightning force as we continue to expand our network across the UK.

We are looking for someone that oozes our Virgin values and embraces the on-going ways of working within Liberty Global.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the costs relating to engineering projects across the Lightning programme/multi dwelling projects and new development schemes. You will be part of a team responsible for the Central Region of the UK and will have regular travel in and around the Midlands, roughly 3 days a week on site.

As a Quantity Surveyor in our Lightning force, you will provide commercial support from inception of projects to project closure and also look to minimise the costs of the project and enhance value for money whilst ensuring that the project meets all legal and quality assurance requirements and regulations.

Key Accountabilities include:
• Responsible for review cost estimates/cost plans identifying levels of estimating uncertainty to allow effective setting, monitoring, forecasting and control of financial limits for projects
• Review/approval or rejection of the contractor monthly Application for Payment
• Agree allowance/disallowance of the Compensation Events with Build Partners
• Prepare monthly commercial reports
• Agree final account assessment
• Update schedule cost data sets to achieve consistency, accuracy and alignment and to enable the capture and subsequent use of outturn data
• Carry out cost and expenditure planning / benchmarking as required
• Support management of budget and spend profiles continually identifying ways to improve cost performance
• Carry out cost impact analysis of Change Requests
 
To hit the ground running, you will currently be a member or working towards being a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). We're looking for someone with a mind for figures, a can-do attitude and brilliant commercial acumen!
