Industry Placement Officer/s (Fixed-Term)
3.3 FTE available, up to 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, Fixed-Term until 31 st July 2020
Job share and part time hours applicants will be considered
GBP 18,537 - GBP 22,176 per annum
City College Norwich are looking for an aspirational individual/s to support in the delivery of a project to build the number of high quality, structured and outcome-focused industry with employers.
With the implementation of the first T levels planned for 2020 and industry placements being a compulsory part of the new T level package, we are looking to build capacity and establish strong links with employers which will increase significantly over the coming years. These placements should maximise the benefits for both students and employers. Students on technical programmes will be provided with a high-quality experience that maximises their chances of stepping into skilled employment of higher technical education following, and employers should see added value and increased productivity as the student integrates fully into the business.
The college is looking for high achieving individual/s with significant experience of liaising with employers who are able to secure set targets of industry placements. Sector areas for which we will be sourcing industry placements are listed below. Any experience of work within these sectors would be advantageous, however not imperative if employer liaison skills are strong.
Bricklaying
Carpentry
Catering
Engineering
Fashion Retail
Hairdressing and Barbering
IT and Computing
Motor Vehicle
Technical and Professional Construction
If you have a successful track record of engaging with employers, have the ability to work on your own initiative, meet set targets and believe you can make an instant and positive impact, then this is the role for you.
