Calibration Administrator; Based in Bristol; 12-month contract; £13.00 ph PAYE; 16 hours per week.

We are looking for a part time administrator to be based at our client's site based in Filton. This role will be for 16 hours per week - to include all day Wednesday, Friday morning and one other half day.
To provide accurate information and administration of the calibration database for mechanical tooling across 2 sites. Manage internal and external calibration to achieve minimum turnaround times for the business in support of production. Evaluating the need for calibration verses cost and reduce the amount of calibrations across sites. To provide advice and assistance relating to all aspects of Environment, Health & Safety management to ensure compliance with legal requirements OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 management systems and to minimise risk/s for all employees and visitors who could be affected by the activities of the company.

Responsible for complying with the requirements of the company Health & Safety Policy and Procedures and takes responsibility for own safety ensuring others are not put at risk
Responsible for complying with company and customer procedures including work instructions and guides as detailed in the Quality Management System
Indysoft Calibration Database - Data Control & System Management Responsible for compiling, scheduling and maintaining the accuracy of the data base for calibration of Mechanical measuring equipment. Issue notification to departments when calibration dates are due, book measuring instruments 'in and out' of standards room. Maintain records of calibrated measuring instruments
Raise SRM Orders, requesting quotations and follow up activities Management and input of New and External Calibration (B Stamp holder)
Provide specialist advice and assistance in all aspects relating to EHS management. Management of risk assessment and reduction programmes Facilitate local team's accident/incident investigations
Evaluate accident statistics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement Provide EHS advice and support in relation to new plant, equipment and workspace organisation Undertake COSHH assessments Undertake EHS process confirmation audits Potential involvement and management of EHS training and induction
Responsible for publishing and maintaining key performance indicators for all departments, such as turnaround times, late and overdue tools, lost and scrap tools
Responsible for ordering through SRM requesting quotes and pre approval of all departmental consumables
Responsible for the registration and acceptance of all site new equipment and entry into calibration data base ensuring the equipment/tool is fit for purpose
Responsible for the management of external calibration.
Maintain and publish 'Key Performance Indicator' (KPI) charts and graphs

Qualifications and Skills - Formal Qualifications

Essential
Administration experience in office environment

Desirable
SAP trained
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent with a minimum of three years previous experience within the manufacturing industry. Also, an understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation is essential.
