Drs. Direct are working for a fantastic client based in the Winchester area, who are seeking an Occupational Health Advisor on a permanent & Contract basis.
* This role is offered on both a Full and Part Time basis.
* Undertaking the Full OH Remit:
* Hours are flexible
* Single Site Role
* Inhouse Service
* Nurse Led Service
Job Purpose:
To assist in the delivery of a comprehensive impartial occupational health service, which assesses, advises and monitors the health of employees, whilst balancing organisational needs in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
Main responsibilities:
* Assist in the delivery of a comprehensive occupational health service to indivdual departments, its partners and external customers, determining the fitness of employees, either at post offer stage or during employment, through assessment in the form of an interview or a protocolled test (e.g. health surveillance) and providing clinical/medical feed-back and advice to managers.
* Support and manage allocated cases, including the rehabilitation of employees back to work.
* Manage allocated clinics and resources, ensuring services are delivered effectively and efficiently and in line with KPI’s, legislative requirements and good practice.
* Follow appropriate routes to seek guidance and advice and/or escalate complex, challenging and/or high risk occupational health and safeguarding issues where necessary.
* Provide health education/information where appropriate to staff and/or managers to help the make informed choices about health and wellbeing improvements.
* Conduct work place and work station assessments and advise management on suitable adjustments and interventions to overcome health or disability issues and safeguard the health of employees.
* Prepare and maintain accurate occupational health records, in paper or computer format, as per professional guidelines and departmental instructions.
* Where appropriate and as required, attend meetings, or support in attendance, to provide advice on occupational health matters.
* To work as a member of the Occupational Health and Wellbeing team, assisting Occupational Health Advisers and Health Technicians on the most appropriate course of action where required.
Addtional Information / Skills Required:
* This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
* All Applicants must be Registered General Nurses
* As well as being an RGN, all applicants must hold an Occupational Health Diploma or Degree
* Experience of working / practising in an Occupational Health advising role
