Adecco Aviation are very pleased to be supporting this premium airport lounge provider at Gatwick Airport who are looking for kitchen assistants - one part time and one full time.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will strive to provide the highest standard of preparation of meals for customers as required. Other duties will include the monitoring and maintenance of stock levels ensuring that the highest standard of cleanliness and food hygiene is followed at all times.

Responsibilities are as follows:

* Preparation, cooking and serving of food;

* Ensuring that food is presented well to a high standard;

* Following food hygiene legislation, you will ensure that food is stored and maintained safely;

* Strive to reduce wastage levels and dispose of food in the appropriate manner;

* Conduct fridge temperature checks and record results as necessary;

* Maintain the highest cleaning standards within your kitchen environment;

* Have responsibility of stock rotation ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained;

* Ensure that any cleaning chemicals are correctly and safely stored;

* Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

* Maintain the highest standards of safety at all times

The role is on a temp to perm basis. A typical week is based on 37.5-40 hours on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern, 2 earlies starting at 0430hrs then 2 lates ending 2200hrs. Full details or your hours and shifts will be confirmed prior to commencing employment.

in order to be meet the criteria required, you will need to;

* Be able to work any hours covering a 24/7 operation with no restrictions (i.e. study etc)

* Be able to make your own way to London Gatwick Airport 24/7;

* Provide Eligibility to work in the UK;

* Be Physically fit;

* Be happy to undertake a Basic Disclosure;

* Must not have lived outside the UK for more than 6 months at a time in the last 5 years;

* Provide 5 years written references and support any gaps of 28 days or more

* Possess a minimum of 1 year’s previous hospitality experience
