Position: Shop Managers Assistant
Location: Ashburton, Devon
Job type: Part time, Permanent
Hours: 16 hours per week
Salary: £8.37 per hour

About the role:
We are looking for a Shop Manager’s Assistant, to work 16 hours per week to support the Shop Manager in running our retail shop.
You will support in the day to day operation and performance of the shop through excellent customer service, effective planning, good merchandising and stock control and effective housekeeping. You will also help in creating a supportive and friendly environment to our team of dedicated volunteers.
About you:
You should have experience of retail, or the customer service industry, and be confident and experienced in dealing with the general public and working as part of a team. In addition, experience and knowledge of cash handling is essential as is being able to demonstrate where you have contributed to meeting improvement standards / targets and objectives.
To be successful in this role, you should have a flexible approach to work and the confidence to undertake some lone working. This position will involve working rotational shifts during the week, Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and seasonal lates, as well as ideally being able to cover other shops in the area when required.
