When children need protection, we need to respond quickly.

That’s why we’re looking for someone who can take the lead in co-ordinating an effective inter-agency response.

If you apply for this role and you’re successful, you’ll be part of an experienced and committed Social Care department.

This is a challenging but hugely rewarding job, and you’ll have a big role to play in helping us keep people safe.

You’ll work with our partners to ensure consistent practice in line with statutory standards, and chair meetings within an Integrated Children’s System – including Child Protection Conferences, Review Meetings and Looked After Children Reviews.

In return, our proven career development framework will help you realise your career goals.

You’ll also get access to a good pension scheme, generous leave allowance and flexible working.

What does it take?

You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, experience working in a team, and a proven track record working with children.

You’ll also need a thorough understanding of professional codes of practice, and work within statutory guidelines, policies and standards such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, or the Social Services and Well-being Act 2014.

You’ll need to be a registered social worker, with considerable practice and management experience of providing services to children.

Think you fit the bill? We’d love to hear from you.
