We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Customer Care Manager to join the Customer Care department in our Western region. This role will be based field based, operating out of our Bishops Cleeve office and will report to the Regional Customer Care Director.

The role
The main purpose of the role is to manage the customer care operation within a designated geographical area whilst delivering the level of service identified in the Customer Care Charter, and to the standards as identified in the Customer Care Best Practice Guide.
As Area Customer Care Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
- Where necessary, visit customers and assess works required and manage rectification
- Attend to purchaser’s defects, ensuring they are all reported in a cost effective, timely and professional manner to the satisfaction of the purchaser
- Prepare monthly plans with the Customer Care Technicians and agree job priorities
- Ensure that the company carries out its obligations to the NHBC
Operate within departmental budgets by ensuring that
- Customer Care Technicians manage their time effectively and control the use of materials and sub-contractors
About you
- Educated to GCSE/GCE standard in Maths & English and or,
- BTEC diploma in Building Construction or an NVQ Level 2 or similar or,
- City & Guilds in a relevant trade
- Valid CSCS card
- Detailed understanding of NHBC customer handover requirements
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle complaints and difficult situations whilst remaining calm under pressure
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- A polite, tactful and assertive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to work extra to meet deadlines as and when the business needs require it
- Full UK Driving Licence
