Job Title: Part Time Accounts Assistant

Salary: Circa £22,000 to £24,000 pro rata

Location: Hull

Edwards & Pearce are seeking an Accounts Assistant for a part time permanent vacancy to replace a retiree. This is a great opportunity for applicants who possess practical accountancy experience with a variety of duties including purchase & sales ledger, reconciliations, cash book, banking etc. You will be working in a modern, busy environment so candidates must be confident with their abilities, have a professional work ethos and able to work to deadlines.

THE ROLE

- Permanent role, part time hours (Flexible to an extent)

- To process purchase & sales ledger invoices, reconciliations, credit control, banking, payroll (Prep) and undertake all related accounts administration

- Pro active in investigating account queries

- Experience is essential as you will be a member of an established team

- Additional accountancy based duties may be added

THE CANDIDATE

- It is essential you have practical experience of general accountancy functions especially ledgers, credit control, banking and managing cash

- Possess strong communication skills, confidence and attention to detail

- Be assertive, reliable and show initiative and common sense

- Good standard of IT especially SAGE and Microsoft Excel / Word

- A comprehensive handover period will be provided
