Job Details:

We wish to appoint a passionate potter who has experience of working with small groups of children.

Our school is a unique educational establishment, set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Our aim is to create an environment where questioning, divergent thinking and freedom to learn from mistakes are all encouraged. Central to our success is the sense that each person is a member of our community whose voice is entitled to be heard and treated with respect. Both our staff and students expect of each other the best kind of relationships – co-operative, authentic and trustful. We also foster a truly holistic approach to education, academic rigor is not at the expense of creativity or the arts.

To succeed in this position, you should have a good level of knowledge with ceramics and a creative flair. You will also have experience and a passion for working with young people. The creative side of students is very important to Dunhurst, as is a high degree of pastoral care.

Art and Design at Bedales and Dunhurst has a rich history and the school is proud of the hands on approach students have to learning. This post is for 2 double lessons a week with Year 6 children (10/11 years old). The timings are for 2 ½ hours (approx.) on a Thursday afternoon.

If you apply for this post you will need to be available for interview on Wednesday 3rd July 2019.

Closing Date: 8:00am, Monday 1 July 2019
