What is the purpose of this role?

To provide support to the Integral Accounts function with specific focus on bank and control account reconciliations, and processing transactions as required.

Position Overview:

We have an excellent opportunity for ambitious and proactive person to join our Group Finance team. We are looking for someone eager to gain/ build on their previous Finance experience. In return, we offer a desirable study package where applicable.

This is a Finance Assistant position that will involve many varied and diverse responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to provide support to the Management Accountants with specific focus on Cash office duties, centralise coding, and processing daily transactions. As you gain more experience the role will have the opportunity to support the month end processes, Cash flow actuals and various project works. You will need to be an analytical thinker with relevant qualifications/ experience and the desire to proactively build your knowledge.

What will this role involve?

  • Cash Office processing and resulting bank reconciliations
  • Processing of journals and transactions to support the business activities
  • Analysis and investigation of control accounts with resulting reconciliation
  • Analysis and investigation of VAT transactions
  • Processing and reconciliation of inter company transactions
  • Completion of National Statistics returns
  • Control coding of centralised purchase invoices
  • Manage and maintain operation of the purchasing card process
  • Assist Management Accountants with the month end and ad-hoc processes.

What are we looking for?

  • Good knowledge of SAP
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel - Intermediate Level
  • Accounts Finance experience
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Confidence in handling queries
  • Attention to detail
  • Passion for developing career in Finance and working towards ACCA/CIMA qualification
