Support Manager - Flexible Working Available
Our client is an ambitious housing association and they are looking to recruit an experienced Support Manager for their main site in Bedford.
Salary: £12.70 per hour
Duration: Full time, permanent (circa 37 hours per week based on a three week rota – includes one weekend in three)

About the role of Support Manager:
As Support Manager for our client, you will support the Head of Care Services and Deputy Home Manager with the day to day running of the home and their extra care scheme Oak Way House.
The successful candidate will monitor service delivery at the home to ensure high standards of care at all times, support the development of care staff through recruitment, regular supervision, training, appraisals and performance management.
The successful candidate will need to be qualified to at least NVQ level 3 in care (or equivalent) and have knowledge of medication – you will ideally be working towards your NVQ level 4.
Proven experience of working within in a care home in a management or supervisory position as well as good leadership and administrative skills.
The ability to multi task and manage time effectively is essential, along with exceptional communication skills to deal with both staff and residents.
Basic IT skills are also needed for this role and a good understanding of Email, Word, Access and Excel is essential.
