Do you have the skills and ability to manage, motivate and supervise a team? The Housing Assessment Team operates Braintree District Council’s Housing Register and assesses the priority of housing applications. We are looking for a Senior Housing Assessment & Policy Officer to lead the Team as we develop our Choice-Based Lettings system and work together with councils and housing associations in the Gateway to Homechoice scheme. As our Senior Housing Assessment & Policy Officer you will help shape the service in the longer term as we respond to local and national policy initiatives and to changes in the pattern of need and demand.  Tasks include undertaking presentations and training for partner organisations and representing the Housing Service and the Council at various regional forums. This is a part time (job share) position working 22.5 hours per week. In return you will receive a salary pro rata of £33,213 to £37,248 per annum.
