Staffline are currently seeking an experienced ICT Delivery Operator for a 12 month contract in Swansea.

The primary function of this post is to provide technical support and back up duties for the Digital and Transformation Service functions of the company.

The role the will provide vital assistance across the service area to ensure that there is consistency in the provision of cross cutting technical support aspects of delivery of services.

The post holder is responsible for the following:

* Provide control of the client's hardware management and warranty information ensuring the integrity of the data and auditing the information when required.

* Assist in the rollout and disposal of equipment. Responsible for collecting hardware and software and data equipment and providing the destruction of hard drive data to industry standards. Using technical knowledge to advise on the equipment ordered and received and disposal of equipment if obsolete.

* To provide support for the building of ICT equipment to agreed standards as required for rollouts or replacements of all ICT equipment where necessary

* Responsible for providing 3rd tier support to all ICT users on all aspects of ICT support processes.

* To provide media management against all backup media across all relevant site

* To be responsible for the daily transportation of backups between of site storage areas ensuring that the sites are fit for purpose

* To provide backup fault identification, reporting and logging, liaising with support teams for resolutions. Review all daily backup reports and log any failures to appropriate team.

* To ensure secure disposal of faulty tapes using the required standard method of disposal facility

* To manage backup tapes re: monitoring of spare stock, labelling via barcodes and ensure offsite storage areas are maintained appropriately for tape media

* Any other duties which may be reasonably required by the line manager

Essential Criteria:

1 Very good level of technical ICT competence including Windows 7, Windows 10 and Office 2016

2 Proficient in the use of standard Office ICT products.

3 Knowledge of controlled hardware disposal

4 Relevant hardware experience on Tape backup devices

5 Demonstrable understanding of all relevant aspects of ICT including but not limited to:

* Desktop operating systems and relevant platforms

* Desktop/laptop/tablet rebuilds

5 Good oral and written communication skills, together with an excellent telephone manner.

6 Technical knowledge of IT Hardware, IT Software, mobile phones, data and voice equipment

7 A high degree of flexibility, discretion and integrity

8 Good analytical skills as evidence by the ability to solve problems logically and make appropriate decisions

9 The ability to manage, and contribute to, and respond effectively to change by persuading and influencing individuals and teams to adopt new work patters, ideas and corporate initiatives.

10 High level of organisational skills.
