Job Details

This role is to Ensure project targets and KPIs are monitored and reported to the Project Director and Head of Sustainability, as well as Driving Innovation and Best Practice.



Accountabilities:

  • Act as the lead for sustainability on the project, with an ability to lead on best practice and ensure compliance.
  • Lead innovation and improvement in sustainability activities as part of the delivery of the LL Sustainability Strategy
  • Ensure the delivery of LL Environmental Management System (EMS) and other key risk mitigation processes, including implementation of Enablon and Footprint reporting systems.
  • Liase with the Head of Sustainability in putting together a Sustainability training and upskilling programme for the project and ensure roll out of the training for all LL staff, consultants and contractors where appropriate.
  • Ensure that accurate and clear sustainability data is captured and reported across the project



Knowledge, Skills & Experience required:

Essential

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in environment and sustainability in construction
  • Solid understanding of how construction projects are delivered in the preconstruction and construction phases
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering environment and sustainability performance on major construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information in a concise way to a non-technical audience
  • Strong analytical, rigorous approach to sustainability data and the performance of construction projects
  • Business minded, able to articulate the value and benefits of sustainability, compliance, reporting, etc.
  • Able to negotiate with suppliers to find optimal efficiencies E
  • Ability to influence and be seen as a sustainability lead for the organization.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of property development
  • Knowledge of working in public sector environments particularly projects of national importance
  • Demonstrates the skills of organisational awareness and collaboration to build key coalitions, works constructively with colleagues, able to assemble very diverse teams around a common goal
