What is the purpose of this role?
Provide detailed and accurate P6 plan including all Network Rail deliverables and stage ggates.
What will this role involve?
Responsible for producing project planning activities from conception to completion using P6
Compile programmes for projects and advise work teams accordingly
Build an understanding of project interfaces
Assisting the project team as directed by Management
Work within the Network Rail planning team as directed by Line Manager
Specific Safety Responsibilities
Comply with legislation and industry standards ie Rule Book
Comply with Amey rules, procedures and working practices
Undertake all work in a safe manner
All accidents and incidents that have the potential to cause injury or property damage to be reported
Where necessary provide advice and support to inexperienced colleagues
What are we looking for?
Computer literacy and use of planning tools
IT literate including MS Office and Primavera
Prioritise workloads
Good understanding of the construction / railway industry
Demonstrable experience within planning in the rail sector
Experience of working with internal design teams
Experience of working closely with stakeholders and developing personal relationships
Experience of managing and developing staff
Highly effective motivator with strong written and spoken communication skills and capable of interfacing at all levels in the organisation
