We are currently looking to recruit Senior Corporate Finance advisors to join our team to use their commercial skills to help shape the development of major infrastructure projects happening in the UK. 

This post is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a wide stakeholder base to undertake high profile and complicated projects on which you will provide insight to ministers and other project leaders on important commercial issues. This is an amazing opportunity to work within a highly respected and inclusive team where challenges and ideas are shared and navigated together. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

- Providing high quality corporate finance and commercial advice on projects and programmes across the wider department. 
- Working with members of the Corporate Finance directorate to execute high value transactions. 
- Providing commercial insight into policy formulation. 
- Managing a changing and developing portfolio of projects ensuring you meet the needs of a differing client base.

About you 

Are you an experienced Corporate Finance Professional, an ability to communicate complex issues clearly across all levels of a business? If so we would love to hear from you. 

We’re looking for candidates with excellent commercial, analytical and project management skills, who have experience of working with a wide and varying stakeholder base. The role suits someone that is confident applying their commercial expertise to influence decisions, thrives in managing a dynamic and challenging workload and welcomes autonomy to their role. 

You’ll have strong interpersonal skills with the capability to provide guidance and information to inform decisions at all levels of government. 

For this role, it’s essential to be able to proactively manage your workload whilst retaining focus on the key priorities of the department. 

These roles are an amazing opportunity to work on high profile projects on a daily basis. Therefore, you will be highly diligent with a strong focus on attention to detail, to ensure your work informs senior leadership and Ministers in achieving departmental objectives.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Strengths and Experience.

The selection process will be designed specifically for the role. As a result, your assessment will include: 
• an interview including a short presentation.

At the interview candidates will be given 30 minutes to prepare a a short presentation on a topic related to the role. 

Your interview may consist of a range of question types. These may include questions about:

• how you would manage situations relevant to the role 
• your previous experience 
• your professional skills and knowledge 

You’re encouraged to become familiar with the role profile, as you may be assessed against any of the criteria recorded within.
