Part Time Bookkeeper for Entrepreneur - West London

This is a fabulous role for an experienced bookkeeper or former accountant who is looking for a busy and varied part time role. You will be working from the small private office of a HNW individual and media entrepreneur and assisting him with both his business and personal finances. He is a sporting enthusiast and also extremely passionate about horse racing, and owns a stud farm and has dealings in international horse racing. An interest or willingness to learn about the racing industry is therefore important. You will also help with his personal investments, properties in the UK and internationally and all his insurance. He is an extremely interesting individual and although small, it is a friendly and personal office of 3. As a result, the role does incorporate office management duties too and it is important this person is happy to muck in and help out with all admin tasks no matter how menial. Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Paying bills
• Raising, tracking and chasing invoices
• Recording everything on SAGE
• Collecting income
• HMRC payments including VAT returns
• Managing his personal investment portfolio
• Transferring money from international bank accounts
• Overseeing insurance renewals and payments
• Reviewing/checking contracts
• Negotiating property leases
• Ordering stationary and refreshments for the office
• Filing and data entry

Should you be interested in taking on more, the opportunity is definitely there and they would love someone with a proactive nature who can initiate more effective systems and strategies around the finances on both the personal and business side of things.

They are looking for someone who can work at least 30 hours a week and depending on your commitments, the timings are negotiable but ideally they are looking for 4 days a week (9am to 4.30pm) or even 5 days per week (from 10am – 4pm).

At least 5 years previous bookkeeping experience is required and they are looking for someone ASAP but will consider people on 1 months notice.

Salary circa £40k pro rata
