Brockenhurst College has an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Apprentice/ Senior Apprentice to join their dedicated and enthusiastic team based in Brockenhurst. You will be working on a full time, fixed term basis for approximately 18 months from start date. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £7,050 - £15,839 per annum depending on age and the post appointed to.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 3,000 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

Main responsibilities as our Nursery Apprentice/ Senior Apprentice:

You will be working with young children in a challenging but rewarding environment. Although this post will be based in one main area, all staff are required to work flexibly within all areas of the nursery, pre-school and afterschool club with children aged from 3months-11yrs.

Key skills and attitudes required as our Nursery Apprentice/ Senior Apprentice include:

- Hard working, dedicated and caring

- Enjoy working with young children in a challenging but rewarding team environment

- Good communication skills both written and verbal

- Committed to work flexibly within the high standards expected in our setting

- A Senior apprentice must hold a full and relevant level 2 qualification or have enough experience to be accepted onto the CYPW level 3 advanced apprenticeship course and will be looking to gain a full and relevant nationally recognised level 3 qualification.

- A nursery apprentice will have some experience of working with children and be looking to gain a level 2 apprenticeship in Early Years.
