Berry Recruitment is urgently seeking a Cook/Chef to work in a garden centre cafe in Knutsford on a permanent basis. Berry Recruitment is a catering and hospitality employment business, with the North West office based in Warrington.
The main purpose of the role is to work along side the other chef's and staff on site to make breakfast and lunch items. Help with creating fresh cakes to be made on a daily basis.
Our client is looking for someone who is looking to also help with product and menu development also.
Duties and responsibilities for the Cook/Chef will include, but will not be limited to:
- Ensuring food orders are made
- Prepping food
- Monthly stock for patient dining
- Preparation/cooking for special diets
- Provide advice and guidance to other staff
- Ensuring the hygiene standards are met for all kitchen areas
- Adhere to existing and new working practices, methods and procedures.
Key skills required include
- Experience in Food Hygiene / Safety
- Ability to work as part of a team and on there own
- Ability to work under pressure, with a can-do attitude
This role will be 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis hours are between 8am and 4pm
No night shifts!
