Substance Misuse Administrator
Ref: 49.19
Base: Christchurch, East Dorset
Hours: Part time, 14 hours per week
Salary: £17,500 to £18,500 FTE pro rata depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
You will be part of our dynamic multi-disciplinary team based in Christchurch where you will have an important role to play in supporting service users to make positive changes and helping the Reach service work towards their mission.
Day to day duties will involve general administration to support the service with its operational commitments, ensuring the smooth running of the team by dealing with general enquiries, providing an efficient reception service, managing incoming phone calls and welcoming service users and visitors. Other key duties will involve collating data and maintaining databases, producing reports, and working closely with other administration teams across the service to support day to day needs of not only our service and partners, but also our service users and their carers.
What we’re looking for
This varied and wide-ranging role will suit someone with previous team administrative experience who thrives in a busy environment where they can organise their own workload and priorities to ensure that all work tasks are completed effectively and efficiently on a consistent basis.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate a range of communication skills, be able to build effective working relationships with a range of people, have a great understanding and knowledge of administration processes, IT skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office packages. In addition, you’ll have a good general standard of education, and will demonstrate a high level of integrity and enthusiasm for working within the structured environment of a recovery service.
Whilst previous experience in a similar service user environment within health, social care and/or the community sector is not essential, it would be an advantage. More important is a genuine interest in substance misuse services and a positive recovery focused attitude.
