Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)
Part Time (30 hours)

The main purpose of the role is to develop LRF preparedness in Command, Control and Coordination structures and processes for EU Exit or any civil emergency/major incident.
To participate in and contribute to partners multi agency response to EU Exit or any civil emergency/major incident.
Main Responsibilities:
To implement, manage and evaluate multi agency Integrated Emergency Management training for Tactical and Operational response to major incident to develop LRF preparedness.
To develop and evaluate the activation procedures for multi agency Command, Control and Coordination in support of LRF preparedness.
To implement, monitor and evaluate changes to the Local Resilience Forum preparedness planning model of operation.
To attend and represent the Local Resilience Forum at local, regional and national meetings in respect of civil emergency/major incident planning.
To provide support to Strategic and Tactical Coordinating Groups in the event of civil emergency/major incident.
To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.
Experience/Skills:
Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject or significant experience in a similar role
A comprehensive knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004
Experience of civil emergency/major incident planning processes
Experience of coordinating activity within a multi-agency environment
Excellent communication oral and written skills including report writing
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Competent in the use of IT including database management
Competent in the chairing of multi-agency meetings
Negotiating and influencing ability
