Are you compassionate, empathetic and genuinely care about improving people’s lives? Joining our client’s team as a Support Worker in Romsey, Southampton and progress your career in the Care Industry.

Location: Romsey, Southampton (2 homes available)

Salary: £8.56-9.66 per hour

Hours: Two fixed working rotas available:

Marika House (Romsey) – Day support workers follow a rolling two-week shift pattern, covering the hours between 7.30 a.m. and 8 p.m. – average 42 hours per week (work only 7 days in every 14)

Timaru - Rolling two week shift pattern, covering the hours between 7.30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Average 39 hours per week (work 8 days in every 14)

About You!

You do not need previous experience to be a Support Worker. Maybe you have experience gained within a similar setting? Do you have relevant qualifications?

Don’t worry if you do not; whilst this would be beneficial, neither are essential. The personal qualities you can bring are far more important!

You will have an open mind, respect for others, resilience, self-motivation and a willingness to learn. A good standard of English is essential, as well as basic IT skills, a team approach and the ability to work under your own initiative.

If you don’t currently have any qualifications, you will be helped to achieve them, beginning with completion of your Care Certificate and continuing with an NVQ in Health & Social Care and many more exciting opportunities for enhance your learning/skills with our client’s excellent Learning & Development scheme!

Please note, due to the location of the service, candidates applying for a position with ‘Marika House’ will need a driving license and/or access to a vehicle to get to work.

Successful applicants will undergo a pre-employment screening process inclusive of an Enhanced DBS and satisfactory referencing prior to commencing employment.

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided we very much welcome previous experience working as: Support Worker, Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker
