£34,688 per annum for 36 hours per week, based at County Hall, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 2DN.

Although the role will be based at County Hall in Kingston; travel across the County will be frequent and essential, so the use of a car with business insurance and a clean UK Driving licence will be required.

About the role

Surrey County Council are looking to recruit an experienced Moves Manager on a two year fixed term contract to join our Facilities Team based in Kingston Upon Thames.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will play a key role in setting the Council's accommodation strategy, making recommendations on smarter ways of working and ensuring that we have good utilisation of our assets across all of the Council's buildings, across the County.

You will also manage the delivery of a comprehensive accommodation service and act as a point of contact for staff and contractors on all office moves and accommodation matters across the County.

Our Facilities Management Team is part of the wider Property Services.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position you will need to have extensive experience within a similar role and your application will ideally show evidence of:

  • Demonstrable managerial experience within a previous role
  • Enjoy being a team player with excellent people skills
  • A proven track record of providing excellent levels of customer services along with an ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Proficiency and a practicable application of health and safety management in an office environment along with knowledge of Fire Risk assessments
  • The ability to work under pressure, problem solve and find resolutions
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of CAD
  • Competent in the use of IT tools such as spreadsheets and databases
  • Significant experience of managing a team of contracted staff to ensure that best practice and value is being obtained at all times
