South Norfolk Council has an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join us based in Ketteringham.  You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £24,410 - £28,753 per annum. Key responsibilities of our Workshop Technician: As part of our high-quality waste collection service, you will be ensuring our vehicles and equipment are serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard that complies with legislation.  Attention to detail is key to help deliver the best service possible to enable our crews to empty 75,000 bins each week across the district for our residents and businesses. What we’re looking for in our Workshop Technician: - Experience in LGV safety inspections, maintenance and servicing – ideally HGV also - Diagnostic fault testing and hydraulic maintenance experience - CAT C or CE Driving Licence, or willingness to undertake - Good attention to detail and a commitment to completing paperwork accurately and to a high standard - A commitment and sound knowledge of health and safety - Motivation, be a good team player and flexible with your approach towards work Benefits of becoming our Workshop Technician: Our package includes employer pension contributions of 15%, performance related pay up to 4%, 23 days holiday increasing to 28 days after 5 years plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time employees), compassionate leave and sickness entitlement for times of need.  As a Platinum Investors in People you will have regular reviews with your line manager and a personal development plan.  We also support towards volunteering days in the community and encourage staff to be involved with fun activities to raise money for local and national charities.
