About the role

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team of Education Support Workers at our Sense College in Aldeby, near Beccles. This is part time role working 21 hours per week across three days, attracting a salary of circa £17,500 per annum (pro rata).

Sense Centre Aldeby provides education to young adults with a wide range of disabilities. Our staff work towards promoting independence, progression and fulfilment for each learner that we support. This includes the possibility of supporting learners to use inclusive technology, access the community and participate in creative sensory sessions.

This is a fixed term role for approximately 12 months.

About you

We are looking for individuals who are looking for a challenging yet extremely rewarding role. Previous experience of working with people who have a sensory impairment, autism or learning disability would be an advantage.

It is essential that you are able to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating your own initiative. You will have had experience of person centred planning, keeping records up to date and providing personal care.

GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths is an essential requirement for this role.

About us

Working at Sense can be incredibly rewarding; we offer the opportunity to work in a large, diverse and successful charity where people can develop their skills, knowledge and careers in a supportive and flexible environment. In addition we have excellent training and development, the opportunity for you to join our Group Personal Pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement.
