We are recruiting for Male* Support Workers, who are also drivers, in our established service in Trimley St Martin, Felixstowe.

This is an interesting and varied role supporting 4 males who live together in a shared accommodation setting.

The individuals at this service are all in aged between 20 - 50 years, and have a range of needs that include learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD, OCD and other support needs to live as independently as possible.

Typical working times for a Support Workers include, but not limited to, 07:30 - 15:30, 14:30 - 22:00 and a sleep in shift is 22:00 - 07:00. We are able to offer a part time role at present - 22.5 hours per week.

You would be required to do 1 sleep in shift per week and 2 out of 3 weekends would be required.

The people we support at the Trimley service are very independent and like to go out and about a lot. They like to go to out into the community to go shopping, out for meals, bowling, sensory led activities and swimming, all of these activities are supported by the Support Workers. You will be taking the people we support out into the community, so having a full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role

Working as a Support Worker isn't like any other job. The role of a Support Worker is varied, sometimes challenging but greatly rewarding. It's about giving as little or as much support required by each individual to enable then to achieve the things that are important to them and live life as they choose.

*Due to the requirements of this role, we are only recruiting Male Support Workers as it is a genuine occupational requirement.
