We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to work part time at a Residential Home based in Hythe Kent.
The Care Home is 20 beds
Hours can be variable to work round your schedule but as a guide line, 3hrs a day, 4 to 5 days a week, alternate weekends.
Key Points:
To lead and encourage residents to join in activities, whilst ensuring you respect there independence, choice and dignity.
To create a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy.
To work with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly.
To engage the local community into the daily lives of residents by initiating contact with local community groups enabling residents to partake / continue with hobbies and interests as desired. To recruit a network of volunteers to provide a variety of desired appropriate social opportunities as identified by the residents.
For the right individual we would be happy to do further training in this area, to ensure we are maximising the potential to provide meaningful activities.
