We are looking for an experienced Finance professional to support the strategic management of the council's Transformation and Modernisation agenda.
This is a permanent post within the Corporate Transformation Team, reporting to the Corporate Transformation Manager.
You will work with Heads of Service and senior managers to develop and deliver the council's transformation programme, providing professional financial advice, support and challenge to ensure the implementation of corporate priorities.
You will ensure that business change projects are managed effectively to deliver the required level of financial savings.
You will identify, lead and coordinate the development of new and innovative corporate and service improvements in support of the council's commitment to modernise service delivery and deliver efficiencies.
You will be required to be a full member of a recognised professional accountancy body.
You will a sound understanding of the council's priorities and corporate strategies that support delivery of the Corporate Plan. You will need highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills as well as proven experience in managing relationships and working efficiently under pressure.
Flexible and part time working will be considered.
