Our client is a Christian Charity in Nottingham offering support to vulnerable adults and young people, helping them through Stage Progression from homelessness towards sustaining a tenancy and achieving independent living
Position: Tenancy Sustainment Officer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £18,000 per annum
Duration: Full Time, permanent - hours 37.5 hours per week

About the Role:
As Tenancy Officer you will ensure that residents have access to, and understand, loans, grants and claims. You will also help residents understand their tenancy agreement, make timely payments and provide them with general support. Your advice will be invaluable to their progression.
Their Staged Progression structure helps homeless people in Nottinghamshire move back into independent living. Residents move from hostels into Transitional Homes, gradually working towards independence. As Tenancy Officer you will help provide residents with benefit, employment and skills support to help them make sustainable changes to their lifestyles.
About You:
As Tenancy Officer you will have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of working within supported housing, ideally supporting challenging adults and / or young people
- Current knowledge of housing issues and legislation particularly relating to homelessness
- Knowledge of the benefits and welfare system
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to relate and engage with residents.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and of delivering to a diverse customer base.
