As a Senior Associate or Vice President, you will work closely with senior bankers through involvement in all facets of the leveraged finance process - from pitching and origination, to structuring and syndication. On a day-to-day basis you will prepare written credit memorandums for approval, as well as take an active role in presenting credit memorandums to the credit committee. You will be required to evaluate financial statements, historical trends, projections, management performance, industry, cash flow, capital structure and collateral analysis.

As a highly motivated individual, you will play a key leadership role in the loan structuring and syndication processes, including the preparation of marketing materials for rating agencies and public or private distribution. In addition, you will supervise and develop junior analysts and associates within the team.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 4 to 6 years’ experience within Leveraged Finance gained from a top Tier 1 or Tier 2 Investment Bank. You will be able to demonstrate strong deal exposure, excellent analytical and modelling skills and possess a high calibre academic background.

If you are passionate about deals, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication, organisation and leadership skills, please apply now.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
