Willmott Dixon Construction are looking to recruit an Assistant Bid Coordinator join our supportive, forward thinking business based in Hitchin. Candidates should ideally be able to assist and coordinate the bid team to achieve high quality, winning bids that meet our company objectives. The main role of an Assistant Bid Coordinator at Willmott Dixon is to coordinate the bid process, assess the bid requirements and provide quality support to the Bid Team Leader, in order to shape the proposals. By inputting into clear and effective client presentations you will be able to provide creative ideas and initiatives into bids.

The Project

Within the role you will be required to: -

* Coordinate the bid process and provide quality support to the Bid Team Leader

* Enhance the quality of bids.

* Effectively coordinate bid team contributors input.

* Provide creative ideas and initiatives into bids.

* Assess bid requirements and assist the bid leader to shape the proposals.

* Completion of high quality and accurate PQQs.

* Coordinate and produce accurate, well presented bid documentation for tenders.

* Input into clear effective client presentations.

* Review pre-bid information and intelligence and gather more if necessary.

* Further develop win strategy with bid lead and BDM.

* Understand and include customer-focused sales messages and share with bid authors.

* Prepare feasibility documents with BDM team.

* Read PQQ documents and understand PQQ requirements.

* Draft PQQ writing plan with BDM and PCM support.

* Brief support authors when applicable.

* Issue PQQ responsibilities and deadlines.

* Write bespoke PQQ responses.

* Review and critique specialist authors' responses.

* Rewrite authors' drafts.

* Organise red review of PQQ.

* Proof read colleagues' tender and marketing material.

* Design bespoke bid documents in line with corporate guidance.

* Organise printing, uploading and delivery of tender documents.

* Research and write case study information to support bids and marketing team.

* Research latest bid ideas and share internally.

* Writing bespoke answers to customer questions.

* Redrafting colleagues' written answers.

* Use Desk Top Publishing software to create bespoke bids.

* Carry out research into customers and projects.

* Research current projects and create case studies.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

* Strong written language skills

* Experience of using Microsoft Office

* Organised and methodical

* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification

Desirable Criteria

* Full membership of relevant professional body

* Experience of writing bid submissions
