Role Overview

An opportunity exists within our prestigious United Utilities account for an experienced commercial individual to join our Warrington based team. Amey's Network Maintenance Alliance contract with United Utilities provides clean and waste water repair and maintenance services from Cumbria to Cheshire. Whether it's to repair a leaking stop tap, or major civil engineering works our dedicated teams attend in excess of 800,000 jobs each year. From 2009 to present and onwards our United Utilities (UU) network maintain and repair over 42,000 km of water pipes and 76,000km of sewers.

As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing works under our newly awarded Network Maintenance Services Account, consisting of planned maintenance and repair works. As the Commercial Manager, the successful applicant will manage the full end to end process of the account alongside teams of estimators, operational staff and the client. Overall you should be proactive in identifying and implementing project improvement plans, and creating efficiencies to better support the contract and the wider business.

To be successful in this position you must have previous experience and be comfortable within a client facing environment, any previous exposure to United Utilities or any clients within the water industry would be beneficial.. This role requires strong commercial acumen, as well as solid contractual knowledge, specifically NEC3. The ability to manage and develop a team would also be extremely favourable.
