Head of Technician Pathway Development  Hours: Part time (minimum of 28 hours per week) or full time  Contract: Four year fixed term contract  Salary: circa. £45,000 per annum FTE  Location: Central London  With support from the Gatsby Foundation, the Science Council is about to commence a four-year programme of activity to develop and deliver enhanced support for technicians in science, especially those early in their career. An experienced individual is sought to lead this programme.  Working closely with professional bodies who are Members of the Science Council, the post holder will form and lead a team, to deliver a range of activities to help individuals with their development and recognition as a technician, and with employers and educators, raise the profile of technical education.  The management of projects, people and change to ensure delivery are core to this role, as is the ability to work creatively with other organisations on a wider variety of activities.
