We are currently recruiting for Education Manager to join our client’s services team. With their bold new ambitions, inspiring cause and strong new brand, this is a great time to join the charity as they scale up to ensure they can deliver their vision.

Position: Education Manager

Location: London

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

Salary: £35,000 per annum (inclusive of London weighting), depending upon experience

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: Pension Scheme and Stakeholder Pension: Staff must contribute a min. of 4%. Employer’s contribution of 4%, Annual Season Ticket Loan: available to staff who have successfully passed their final probationary assessment (subject to BCUK has sufficient budget allocation), Life Assurance: provides a four times salary death in service benefit, Flexible working: core hours are between 10am – 4:30pm, Holiday:25 days plus 3 between Christmas and New Year and Statutory holidays, Employee Assistance Program available to all staff, Cycle to Work Scheme.

The Role

The Education Manager is an important role at the charity, supporting delivery of the charity’s mission through educating and training healthcare and allied health professionals about bowel cancer. The aim of this work is to drive down variation in treatment and care, and improve early diagnosis. This role is also critical in ensuring the charity has a profile with healthcare professionals and that they build strong reciprocal relationships with them, across the UK.

About You

As Education Manager, you will use your experience of running education programmes to a professional audience to deliver and develop the charity’s current programme of learning events and enhance its membership offer to clinicians. A confident relationship-builder, you will help them grow and engage with their community of healthcare professionals and work collaboratively across teams within the organisation and across nations.

You will bring with you:

 

  • Experience of working in the health sector and preferably in a health charity.
  • Experience of managing training and education programmes for a professional audience, including event management and marketing.
  • Experience of developing and driving delivery of business plans and reporting against these.
  • Experience of developing and using effective and appropriate monitoring and evaluation frameworks and mechanisms.
