Project Worker - Temporary Position - Birmingham - up to £17.94 per hour - Full time and Part time vacancies

Your new company
Your role as a Project worker will be working for one of the largest and most reputably charities in the UK. They are currently responsible for a project worth a substantial amount of money which is to support Young People through a counselling service. The charity offer you the opportunity to manage your own diary and are flexible on working hours each week providing you are working between their core hours of business.

Your new role
Your role as a Project Worker will be to manage a case load, supporting Young People with a counselling service. Typical cases you will be responsible for will involved situations such as abuse and sexual exploitation. Although this is a role that requires you typically working from their main offices, situated just outside of Birmingham City Centre. There may be occasions where you will be required to travel around the borough to meet with your case loads offsite.

What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful applicant for the Project Worker vacancy will have previous counselling experience and a very strong understanding/awareness of abuse and sexual exploitation. You will also have previous experience of detailed report writing in a timely manner of counselling sessions, as well as experience of liaising with external agencies, such as social workers.

What you'll get in return
This opportunity offers either a full time and/or part time hours depending on your current situation. The hourly rate will be up £17.94 per hour. With the likely hood of extension of the project funding after March 2020, this opportunity may provide a permanent opportunity. Hays will provide you with an enhance DBS if one is not already on file.
