Job Details

About us
LAH Property Marketing provide Front of House Receptionist and Marketing Representatives for commercial property schemes nationwide. We work with developers, fund and asset managers, commercial agents and property managers. We support lettings and sales strategies, retain and manage tenants and ensure any development we are part of looks and
feels great at all times.

We are looking to recruit a Deputy Regional Manager to support the Regional Manager for our South West Region. Ideally based in the Reading area, you will cover Winnersh, Reading, Camberley, Oxford, Bracknell, Basingstoke and potentially Bristol. (Region may be subject to flex/change in line with business growth).

The Regional Manager is responsible for the management and welfare of our Front of House Receptionists and Marketing Representatives, within a designated portfolio of office schemes. They are also responsible for client liaison and are the interface between LAH, the Client and our on-site teams.

The aim
The aim of the Deputy Regional Manager is to provide a mobile based support resource to the Regional Manager and regional LAH receptionists and marketing teams. This is an important integral role with an agreed level of responsibility and authority.

The role

Operational

  • You will be the first 'go to’ person for all reception or marketing teams within the region with day to day operational or general queries – resolving where possible before escalating to the Regional Manager. When the Regional Manager is out of the business or unavailable you will be the initial contact for all queries.
  • You will be responsible for the ‘day to day’ operation of each location – providing operational, ‘housekeeping’ or administration support to the LAH reception or marketing teams and assisting with decision making. Escalation to the Regional Manager can be made when required or appropriate.
  • You may be asked to deputise for the Regional Manager to attend marketing meetings to ensure continuity of our LAH service to Clients.
  • You will work with the Regional Manager on specific projects but the scope of work will vary and be dependent on business priorities.

Visits to Reception and Marketing teams

  • You will work with your Regional Manager to develop a schedule to diarise an ongoing calendar of regular visits to all regional locations. You will scope out an initial plan ( 3-6 months) after which, the schedule will be created and coordinated by yourself and approved by the Regional Manager.
  • You will conduct regular ongoing welfare visits to agreed sites within the region. (However, these will exclude involvement in initial risk assessments, appraisals, bonuses or disciplinaries).
  • You will gain exposure to the role of the Regional Manager by accompanying them on site visits - learning from their leadership skills and your own experiences, ultimately benefiting your own personal development.

Administration

  • You will work closely with the Regional Administration Assistant to ensure continuity of site paperwork.
  • You will manage the approval of the e-days/time off requests. You will work with rest of the regional support team e.g Cover Co-ordinators to highlight any problems to the Regional Manager and liaise to find solutions.
  • You will work with the Regional Manager to help plan the critical path for events at the building, with specific responsibility for ensuring implementation.
  • You will monitor and if required, help with, or instigate assistance, from within the regional team to ensure take-up and event success.
  • Assistance with Cover at a Reception or Marketing location
  • You will not be fazed by travel and will, when the business demands, be asked to provide temporary cover for a reception or marketing role within the region, (starting early/finishing late), so flexibility is key. (This is recognised as a requirement for everyone working in the business in a support or senior management role).

About you

  • You will be commercially aware and may have previously worked in a similar role in a service industry or property environment; or have a marketing background – and ideally with people management experience.
  • Immaculately presented - represent the LAH Management team
  • Organised with great time management
  • Empathetic and always willing to assist and nurture colleagues
  • Relish a challenge and able to work unsupervised and remotely
  • Proactive and Creative
  • Not fazed by independent travel to regional locations
  • Flexible and willing to change plans at short notice
  • Enjoy being part of a regional team
  • Excellent PC/Mac and administration skills

Work schedule

  • Number of days contracted to work– Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. *8 hours per day (*hours/start times may vary depending on diary/business need).
  • You will work on a mobile basis within the region, meeting and working with your Regional Manager and/or the Regional Administration Assistant at agreed locations.
  • Some project work/general administration will be from a remote location (preferably one of the locations) head office, or periodically home-based
  • Responsibilities and job content may change as the role develops and in line with regional changes and company growth. Flexibility is key.

Package

  • £27,200 pa part time, 4 days (£34K pro rata)
  • Mac Book/Lap top and mobile phone.
  • Contribution to mileage/travel expenses.
